<p>The Manager of Undergraduate Advising in the CU Denver Business School plays a pivotal role in advancing and supporting student success across undergraduate programs. This full-time professional exempt position provides leadership and direct supervision to a team of Undergraduate Academic Advisors, ensuring high-quality advising services for students pursuing undergraduate business degrees. <br />Grounded in a philosophy of student development, the Manager collaborates with advisors to deliver advising in both individual and group settings that promotes academic progress, engagement, and retention. </p>
<p>The role also works closely with the Associate Dean of Student Success and Discipline Directors to guide curriculum development, implement program enhancements, and support a positive student experience. </p>
<p><strong>Manager of Undergraduate Advising</strong><br /><strong>What you will do:</strong></p>
<p>General Support</p>
<ul>
<li>Supervise and lead team of undergraduate academic advisors; organize and lead weekly team meetings.</li>
<li>Address escalated student concerns on behalf of the undergraduate advising department.</li>
<li>Assess advising effectiveness through student feedback, metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Establish best practices for undergraduate advisors to provide top level student services inclusive of socioemotional support and holistic advising.</li>
<li>Prepare reports and presentations on undergraduate advising as needed.</li>
<li>Serve as campus liaison for undergraduate information. Responsible for debriefing the Associate Dean and Undergraduate advising team on campus updates and priorities.</li>
<li>Serve on University and/or Business School Committees as requested or needed for the position.</li>
<li>Work with campus departments to ensure that the Business School is actively participating in campus initiatives such as orientation, degree audit, transfer articulation agreements with community colleges and four-year universities, retention, probation, and graduation.</li>
<li>Oversee orientation operations to include scheduling and logistics and assigning advisors to each orientation session</li>
<li>Oversee academic systems, including prerequisite validation and Navigate360 case management reporting, to support accurate enrollment and proactive student outreach.</li>
<li>Develop, negotiate, and implement changes to degree plans with faculty discipline directors to ensure accuracy and maintain the integrity of the Business School undergraduate programs. </li>
<li>Help communicate and promote new courses, programs, and opportunities for students through newsletter communications to students</li>
<li>Serve as liaison for faculty and discipline directors to advisors as well</li>
<li>Serve and/or delegate, as Undergraduate Advising representative for larger Business School student success area and work collaboratively with other units</li>
<li>Provide training to team when necessary or appropriate</li>
<li>Collaborate with other student success departments and Associate Dean on new programs, events, and opportunities for student engagement</li>
</ul>
